As the principal of The Taylor Group, Russ Taylor’s primary focus is management and design. He brings over 30 years of experience to the table, 14 as principal in this firm. The winner of several national and local design awards, Russ Taylor’s expertise includes convention centers, hotels, medical facilities, golf clubhouses, elderly housing, low- to mid-rise office complexes, residential master plans, as well as custom homes. Russ spends his free time flying, playing golf, cycling and fishing.

Brian has wide-ranging experience in virtually every type of building including higher education, commercial, industrial and public facilities. This experience ranges from university buildings to food processing plants, fire stations and convention centers to auto dealerships, manufacturing plants and medical facilities to office buildings, and single-story garden complexes to multi-story structures with underground parking. Brian is an avid golfer and enjoys jogging, tennis and cycling.

Philip Mettler, AIA – Project Architect

As Project Architect and factotum of The Taylor Group, Phil Mettler brings more than 14 years of experience in construction and architecture to bear on all his wide variety of projects with the firm. He has been the project manager on new construction and tenant improvement projects for the United States Federal Government, the U.S. Navy and Army, the California State University, multi-million dollar companies and major commercial real estate developers. Phil is an avid traveler, a voracious reader, and he loves to snowboard with his wife.
